Working with clients to identify and clarify their building requirements and aspirations. Designing and implementing the project in relation to clear goals and targets, including performance, time and cost. The functional basis of design provides the best route to good architecture and efficient and cost effective building performance. The design of a building starts from a clear understanding of the way in which it must work for its owners and users over its expected life span. Choices about form, structure, detail, proportions, materials and colour, offer a creative pallette. The environmental and public context shapes the solution, alongside the clients’ aims and needs. Pleasure from the resulting buildings, and enhancement of the enjoyment of working, social, or domestic life, are implicit aims in most projects. The practice has extensive experience in work for developers and contractors, private clients, private and public companies, and medical practices.
