In addition to larger projects, David Hyams Consulting will undertake: Small projects less than £100,000; one-off houses.

Established in 1988, Dhc provides a full architectural service for domestic and commercial projects up to £500,000. Over the past few years we have developed a speciality in energy efficient, sustainable design, with the participation in the practice of Maria Kessler, who also teaches architects in this area at Oxford Brookes University. Careful listening and analysis of client requirements is another speciality and David Hyams is author of a book on this subject. We also aim for unpretentious stylish modern design and good value in construction. Recent projects have included a number of house extensions and renovations, incorporating sustainable construction to the extent that the clients wished it, and a straw bale studio. We have wet-proofed houses in the flood plain and installed our first sedum roof.
