The Practice was formed in 1972 as a design based architectural consortia under the sole principal, Derek Phillips. We aim to take all work with a public face into mutually acceptable forms, the philosophy of which is of course individual to each project and client; but in essence allows a typology which is contemporary for its time and expectations, but one which is clearly rooted within its own surrounding environment. Every project undertaken is dealt with maximum care meeting first and foremost the client's needs, individualizing each design to bring an inspirational interpretation to the project.
