...the physical manifestation of ideas through space and form. Since establishing his own practice in 2002, William Tozer’s work has been featured in a number of publications, including The Times, Living Etc and Elle Decoration. In 2004 one of his projects was selected for the London Open House programme, and nominated for a Hackney Design Award. Tozer has to date concentrated on private houses, as this genre is less inhibited by the normalising forces that act upon architectural projects of a larger scale. The house can be seen as the basic unit of architectural endeavour, and the experiments undertaken in this genre will be extended into new-build projects of a diversity of scales and typologies. "a brilliant celebration of space" Living Etc. "the look seems effortless, but every detail has been lovingly fussed over for maximum effect" The Evening Standard "using the proportions and materials of the existing Victorian house and garden as a guide, the architects have created something unexpectedly modern" Elle Decoration
