Priestman Architects is an award-winning practice working on interiors, residential, office, cultural and urban design projects. Formed in 1994, we began with a new low-energy timber frame house in Herefordshire and many successful contemporary residential and work space projects have followed, including the Ted Baker headquarters and Steelcase Strafor Showroom. Recently appointed as Architect and Project Manager for complex urban mixed-use projects, we have gained valuable planning permissions for difficult sites, and have completed projects such as The Chandlery a development of 27 residential, live-work and office units in 2005. We have wide experience of the refurbishment of old and protected buildings. Winning competitions in Scotland and Denmark in 1994, invited proposals for large cultural projects followed such as for the Danish Archive and the University of South Stockholm. In 2004 we were awarded 2nd prize in an invited competition for the 650,000sqft New Guangdong Museum in China.
