Bates Zambelli arose from a desire to take and apply as a coherent whole the experiences of its founders in the realms of architecture both in practice and in university. Through established collaborative links with cost and structural consultants, Bates Zambelli forms a multi-disciplinary but design-orientated, one stop shop. Bates Zambelli incorporated in 2000, arising from the practice of STS Bates Architects founded in 1991. Sherry Bates and Alessandro Zambelli are its sole and founding directors. Crucial to us is a belief in a close and continuing dialogue with our clients as a means of developing the best architecture. A dialogue which begins at the earliest design stages of a project and continues throughout the building works until long after their completion.
