Specialist practice dealing with the imaginative conservation of historic buildings, and low energy construction, particularly relating to eco-friendly housing. It focuses on the conservation of historic buildings and the careful use and reuse of both natural and manmade resources in new buildings and extensions to historic properties. Current clients include the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest, the Church of England, English Heritage, Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council and Manchester Methodist Housing Association. Recent clients include Historic Buildings Trusts, private individuals and property developers. Principal of Honey and Skinner is Peter Skinner. He formed the practice in 1989 after ten years with a Manchester firm which has a national reputation in the field of architectural conservation.
