Compton Lacey was established in 1989 by Tony Compton and Andrew Lacey. In 2001 a merger with the Ark Partnership strengthened the Practice with a wider range of work and brought Lee Battersby in as a third partner. The Practice now has offices in White Waltham near Maidenhead and in Ramsbury near Swindon. With their varied experience and expertise, the partners have created a practice whose client base and project portfolio are very diverse, covering new build, refurbishment and special projects for both the public and private sector. The disciplines of architecture, town planning, project management, planning supervision and landscape architecture ensure expertise at all stages of a project. Each discipline is available to clients as an independent consultancy. The design approach is one of sensitivity and flexibility; there is no set 'house style'. The Practice strives to produce efficient, friendly and sustainable buildings that harmonize with their surroundings.
