(Richard) Norman Shaw

(1831-1912)

English architect born in Edinburgh. Worked with his partner William Eden Nesfield (1835-88) in many styles ranging from Gothic Revival to Neo-Baroque, but became an acknowledged leader in the trend away from the Victorian style back to traditional Georgian design, leading to the English Domestic Revival.
