Sir Edwin Landseer Lutyens

(1869-1944)

English architect, born London. His designs ranged from the picturesque of his early country houses, which owed much to the Arts and Crafts movement, to those in the Renaissance style. He finally evolved a classical style exhibited in the Cenotaph, Whitehall, which reached its height in his design for Liverpool Roman Catholic Cathedral
